Questions about the Silk Sleep Mask

Does this silk eye mask block out all light?

Yes. The blackout comes from the padded design: three layers of organic bamboo cotton behind the silk, shaped to sit close to the face so light does not get in around the edges. The silk is what you feel against your skin; the padding is what blocks the light.

Will it fit me?

One size, adjusted with a Velcro strap, fits head circumferences from 48 to 64 cm. There is no elastic, so you set the tension once and the mask stays where you put it without pressing on your eyes.

What is the sleep mask made of?

The shell is 23 momme, 6A grade organic mulberry silk, GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified. The padding is organic bamboo cotton. It is designed in Cork and made in Suzhou, the silk capital of the world, where mulberry silk has been produced for centuries.

Is a silk eye mask better for the skin around the eyes?

Mulberry silk is naturally hypoallergenic and smooth, so there is very little friction against the skin as you move during the night. For the delicate skin around the eyes, that is the reason to choose silk over cotton or polyester.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash only, below 30°C with a pH-neutral silk detergent. Do not wring or twist. Dry flat, away from heat and direct sunlight. Full guidance is on our care page.

How quickly will it arrive?
